Responsibilities:
- Research, develop, and characterize new materials, including metals, ceramics, and composites, for advanced manufacturing applications.
- Conduct hands-on experimentation, material testing, and data analysis to evaluate material properties and performance.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to optimize material formulations for 3D printing, sintering, and injection molding processes.
- Operate and maintain lab equipment such as furnaces, microscopes, and mechanical testing instruments.
- Assist in troubleshooting material-related challenges and propose solutions for improving manufacturing outcomes.
- Document and communicate research findings, technical reports, and recommendations to the team.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in material science to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Material Science, Metallurgy, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to apply fundamental materials principles to real-world manufacturing challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Hands-on experience with material processing techniques such as sintering, powder metallurgy, or composite fabrication is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with material characterization techniques (e.g., microscopy, XRD, hardness testing) is preferred.
